How do I deny cpanel access in Dedicated Server Hosting ?

Dedicated Server Hosting comes with full root access. We can easily restrict default cPanel access from all users using  WHM (WebHost Manager). In this way you can secure your cPanel from public access. This will prevent a large numbers of attempts.

You need to restrict the cPanel login URL from public access. This will prevent a large numbers of brute-force attempts. Also this will help server’s load.  After this whenever public user try to access the cPanel, they will be receiving error.

By using below procedure, we can restrict cpanel access.

1. Login to the WHM
2. Go to Security Center and click on Host Access Control option in WHM
3. Daemon   Access List   Action
    |          |             |
   cpaneld   ALL           deny
So, only allowed user’s IP only can access cPanel.
