How to use Virus Scanner in Linux Web Hosting cPanel?

Silicon House Provides Unlimited cPanel in Reseller Hosting Packages. Virus Scanner interface scans your cPanel account’s services to find viruses, malware and malicious scripts . You can able to Scan Mail, Entire Home Directory, Public FTP and web Space.

Refer the below procedure to scan a domain:

1. Login to the cPanel of the domain

2. Choose Virus scanner under Advanced section

3. Select the service which you need to scan

4. Click on scan now

5. Now you can see the details of number of files scanned out of total number of files and total number of data scanned out of total number of data exist in the specified directory. And you can see the scanning progress.

6. If virus scanner found any infected files you can specify what to do with the files:

Quarantine :  When this option is selected, the virus scanner moves the file to the quarantine directory
Remove :  When this option is selected, the virus scanner remove the file
Ignore : When this option is selected, the virus scanner leaves the file

To complete the progress click on Progress clean up.

If no virus found, you will receive a message “Virus Scan Complete. No Virus Found“
