How to Modify cPanel/WHM News in Web Hosting Manager?

In this session we are going to see How to Modify Cpanel/WHM News. It is very useful to alert all the customers by displaying small messages and alerts.

Uses:

• This feature allows you to display custom messages in your user’s and reseller’s cPanel & WHM interfaces.
• To inform your customer of an upcoming event, or post information about a software update, etc.

We will now show you how to add a News Alert, that your customers will see inside their cPanel.

[1] Login to your WHM
[2] Go to cPanel option
[3] Click on Modify cPanel & WHM News
[4] You can able to see 4 Boxes under the Option. You can set the Messages or alerts that you wish to show to your clients or resellers.

First text box : Global cPanel News
It will display in all of your users’ cPanel dashboards. This includes a reseller’s customers

Second text box : Global WHM News
It will display in all of the resellers’ WHM dashboards

Third text box : Reseller Customer News
It will display display in the cPanel dashboards of all user accounts that are owned by resellers

Fourth text box : cPanel News 
It will be displayed in the cPanel dashboards of all of the accounts owned by your account

Note: If you are a reseller and want to edit the News section for your cPanel users, navigate to WHM’s Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges interface.

Follow the below Procedure to give previleges:

[A] login to WHM 
[B] Home 
[C] Resellers 
[D] Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges
[E] select the News Modification checkbox

[5] Finally click on “Save news”.

Done! Hereby you can display news and Event notifications to yours customers by using the cPanel/WHM News option.
