How to use cPanel Encryption Option in cPanel Reseller Hosting?

GnuPG:

Software facilitating to encrypt and decrypt the messages with cryptographic algorithms is Gnu Privacy Guard (GnuPG). GnuPG is supported by cPanel and used public and private infrastructure.

The message of the sender is encoded with recipient’s public key. The message received by the recipient is decrypted with private key from the server. GnuPG is generally used in sending sensitive emails.

Steps to create a cPanel GnuPG Key:

[1] Click Encryption under cPanel Email section
[2] Provide Name and email address
[3] Provide Comment or Nick Name in order to differentiate multiple keys
[4] Provide Key password and set the desired Expiration Date. ‘y’ is used for years (ex: 1y), ‘w’ is used for weeks (ex:3w) and ‘d’ is used for days (ex:8d)
[5] Select key size. Keys are more secure with larger key sizes
[6] Click Generate Key and the key is generated

To import a cPanel GnuPG Key follow the below Procedure:
[1] Select Import Key by scrolling down the Encryption interface
[2] Click Import Key and the interface
[3] Paste public key including the header and footer rows
[4] Click Import and the key is imported

How to delete or view a cPanel GnuPG Key?

[1] Identify the key list by scrolling down the Encryption interface
[2] Click View against the Key desired to view
[3] Click Delete GnuPG against the Key desired to delete. Click Yes to delete in the confirmation pop up.
