How do I create an email id in a particular domain name ?

Error :

File open for /home/username/etc/domainname/passwd failed with error No such file or directory

Reason :

If the etc folder is not present under /home/username  you will get the above error, while creating the email accounts.

Solution:

In order to solve the issue, Create the etc folder under /home/username.

Click Folder >>New Folder Name: etc >>New Folder will be created in: /home/username  >>Click Create a New folder and try to create a new Email account.

Error :

Password strength must be at least 65 and at least 5 characters long

Reason :

If you try to set the password of the email accounts with less characters and less Password strength you will face the above error.

Solution :

In order to solve the issue Generate the password using Password Generator with at least 5 characters long and Password strength 65.

Error :

The account xyz@domainname already exists!

Reason :

If you try to create the same mail id again which already exists you will face the above error.

Solution :

In order to solve the issue, try to create with the different mail id.

Error :

Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum allowed email accounts.

Reason :

If the allocated “Max Email Accounts” exceeded, you will face the above error.

Solution :

Follow the below steps to allot More Email accounts

1. Login in to your WHM by using user name and password.
2. Click the “Edit a package” in package feature which is present in the left side of your WHM.
3. Select the package which you are going to edit.
4. Click “Edit” button.
5. Edit the allocated Email accounts and click “save changes” button.

Solution :

1. Login to the cpanel of the domain by using the URL
2. Click on Email Accounts option under Mails
3. Select the corresponding change password option for which Email ID you want to change the password
4. Change the password and Click on change password.

Solution :

1. Login to the cpanel
2. Click on Email Accounts option under Mails
3. Select the corresponding change Quota option for which Email ID you want to increase the Quota.
4. Change the Quota value and Click on change Quota.
