Important Notes #

1. Username should be in Lower Case to create FTP Account.
2. Password must have minimum of 12 character with Upper and Lower Case, Numbers and Special Characters. [ Ex: g%Dw#tQ!4&f3@Jiq ]

Procedure

1. Login to your Direct Admin control panel using https://yourdomain.com:2222/ or https://IP-address:2222/ or https://server-hostname:2222/.

2. In the “Account Manager” section, click the “FTP Management”.

3. Click “Create FTP Account”.

4. Enter the username and password.

5. Select the Path:

Domain: Gives the FTP user full access to important website folders like public_html, private_html, and others.
FTP: Limits the FTP user’s access to only the public_ftp folder.
User: Restricts the FTP user access to a specific folder like public_html/username/ and related subdomains.
Custom: Define your own file path.

6. Click on “Create”.
