Direct Admin is a popular linux web hosting control panel which allows you configure key features of your domain in the server side.  In this knowledge base article, learn how to create an email id under your domain in the Direct Admin control panel.

Prerequisites #

You require the following details to create an email under your domain name

1. The login details for your domain’s web hosting account.

Important Notes #

1. Make sure that you keep your passwords strong with special characters, caps letters, numbers and minimum 16 chars.
2. Avoid creating email ids with large mail box space as it will fill up the disk space and inodes. This could result in slower accessing of your emails.
3. Completely avoid forwarding mails from your domain’s email ids to general email providers like gmail, outlook etc. If you receive a spam, it will get forwarded to your gmail also. This in turn might affect your domain’s reputation.

1. Login to your Direct Admin control panel using https://yourdomain.com:2222. For details of how to login to your Direct Admin control Panel, click here
2. Click on Emails.
3. Supply the user name and password.
4. Press Submit
