How to create a MySQL user for my MySQL database in cPanel / WHM ?

Prerequisites

1. You will require Login details for the cPanel/WHM Control Panel.

Importance Notes

1. Keep the username different from the Database name.
2. Keep the Database name within 12 characters.
3. Make sure the username doesn’t contain special characters.
4. Make sure that password contains characters, capital letters, numbers, special characters. [ For example: Y1@ju#jl*Kdq!L ]
5. Password must have minimum 12 characters.

1. Login to your cPanel/WHM Control Panel by using https://yourdomain.com:2083/ or https://yourdomain.com/cpanel or https://server-ip-address:2083/ or https://server-ip-address/cpanel.

2. In the Databases section, Click “Manage My Database”.
