Dedicated Server has the facility to change the hostname of the server with simple option. In Reseller Hosting account you will not see this option and it will not possible to have this option in reseller account.

Reseller Account Creation In Dedicated Server

Using the below procedure you can able to change dedicated server hostname,

1.Login to the WHM as root user.

2. Go to the path,

Home » Networking Setup » Change Hostname

3. Here You can able to change the Server Hostname.

4. Enter the name and click ” change ” .

How can I set the IP for the Hostname of the server ?

Solution :

To set the hostname IP for the server , you can use the below option ,

Home » DNS Functions » Add an A Entry for Your Hostname

here you can able to set the Host IP address for the server . Place the IP address in the box and click ” Add Entry ” . It will be allocated to hostname.
